Studying
in bedroom
If you intend to make your study area a part of your bedroom try
to confine all the dressing and clothes to one area for it will
facilitate concentration. The study desk should to set right angles
to the window. If you have only one window in your bedroom avoid
facing the desk directly on to the window. You may end up with
a back pain if you keep sitting bent over a desk for the entire
day. So if you are a student also provide a well-lit armchair
as an alternative reading place.
Work storage in bedroom
If your work in the bedroom including a lot of paper and filing,
buy yourself a filing cabinet in a color that suits your bedroom.
Then have worktop cut to go over them to form a knee hole desk.
Watching T.V.
The most suitable position for a T.V. in your bedroom is on a
shelf at the end of the bed; between a foot to three feet above
the level of your pillows. You can either fix your T.V. set to
a wall bracket secured to tall foot posts or set it on a trolley
designed to slide over the foot of the bed.
Colour
and pattern
A single colored bedroom is easier to live in than a multi colored
bedroom. If you insist on a multi colored scheme try to avoid
painting different walls in different colors. Try one color to
all the walls, another to doors and windows instead. But always
remember what you select will be what you wake up with.
Walls
Your bedroom does not need to be wear and tear resistant as the
living room. So if you really want, you can use wallpapers in
your bedroom.
