Basins

Basins are available in the market in almost any size for almost any use. They are made out of fire clay, vitreous china, vitreous enameled steel, acrylic, or marble.

32in. is a good height for an ordinary basin. Allow space in front and on the sides as arm space. With poor walls it is safe to select a pedestal basin.

Most taps are chrome-finished on a brass base. Some are gold plated. There are good plastic taps. Mixer taps are often used in baths and basins. There are thermostatically operated mixer taps, which are good with children.
