Lighting

In your bathroom, you need general lights plus very good lighting for shaving and make-up. If you have the habit of reading in the bathroom don't forget to provide lighting to read. Indirect or bounced light is more successful in a bathroom. Use mirrors and the ceiling reflect light. You can even create focal points with lighting.

Electrical outlets

Provide lower powered fittings for shower sockets. Fix an extended cover for lamp holders to prevent direct contact with the line part. Lights have to have pulled switches. Always employ a qualified electrician in wiring, as you are more vulnerable to electric shocks in the bathroom. Avoid fixing electric items in areas, which are likely to suffer from dampness.

Ventilation

If you have a shower in your bathroom some extra ventilation is needed. An extractor fan could be helpful in such a case. Always choose a large one. To keep your bathroom free from smells mechanical ventilation system could be helpful with scented sprays and deodorizing.
