Implementation of the Plan

In order to implement the Development Plan successfully, a zoning plan supported by planning and building regulations are designed and implemented.

The purpose of the zoning plan is to ensure that urban activities are confined to the designated development zones within the core area. Development zones have been determined with a view to sustaining an environmentally friendly and economically sound urban development. The planning and building regulations will determine the acceptable densities and planned development in each zone. The densities have been determined with a view to optimizing land use.
