The " Construct Exhibition" brings together the entire construction in Sri Lanka under one roof displaying a showcase of goods and services. This will be the second consecutive year that this event is being held, with the first exhibition being held in July 2001. Sri Lanka witnessed an unprecedented boom in construction during the 80's and 90's, which resulted in infrastructure developments and the construction of High-rise buildings, Highways and Bridges.

As a rapidly developing country, Sri Lanka has placed infrastructure development on top of her list. And with this in mind construction has moved from heavy civil engineering prominence to other areas of construction.

INTRODUCTION

Construct Exhibition 2002 Sri Lanka biggest construction exhibition, is organized by the National Construction contractors Association of Sri Lanka (NCCSL). Together with the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing Construction, the Ministry of Industrial Development and the Ministry of Highways. It is for the second consecutive year that this event is being held, and main objective being, to develop and introduce products and services to the constriction industry in Sri Lanka.

The exhibition is designed to project Sri Lanka, Her capabilities and potential in the commercial sector. Particularly in manufacturing, trading and marketing of goods and services. And Construct Exhibition 2002 will be a continuation of the NCCSL's role of being a promoter to the industry.
