Architect Shaminda Senaratne acquired his bachelor’s degree from the University of Moratuwa in 1991 with an upper Division pass and obtained the Masters Degree in 1994 after working for one year with a reputed architectural firm in Sri Lanka. He obtained membership of the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects in 1996 as an Associate Member.

 During last 13 years he has worked with leading architectural firms and has gained a through knowledge on Architecture as well as Engineering and construction aspects of the industry.

 Today, he heads a comprehensive professional team, able to provide expertise to cover all the aspects of a building project from investigation, Development of brief Architectural and Structural Design, Mechanical and Electrical Services Engineering Design, Water Supply & Sewerage  system design, Landscaping, Estimating, Tender documentation and Construction Management at the highest International standards.

 Shaminda utilizes a full computer facility (AutoCAD, 3D Studio Max and Photo shop), allowing meaningful interface with clients and other professionals who are similarly equipped. The state of the art computer technology enables him to produce sophisticated 3D colour presentation material and to communicate directly by e-mail with other parties.

 His own office located in an exclusive area in Thimbirigasyaya, complete with Drawing Studios, Projects Department, Accounts and the Administration Department, is fully equipped with state of the art computers and peripherals.

The managing director of this practice is a senior architect with experience more than 18 years in the filed of Architecture. The associated Consultants represent a professional resource of experienced persons, which has enabled the Firm to further the high standard of professional excellence that is reflected in the Firm's increasing participation in Sri Lanka's many significant projects during the 10 years of its existence.
 

The Practice

We have state-of-the-art computer technology which enables us to produce sophisticated 3-D colour presentation material and to communicate directly by e-mail with other parties.

The Practice has a sound technical basis and a realistic approach which produces well designed buildings within the budget and according to the program.

The Office
The Shaminda Senaratne Associates | private | Limited is housed in their own office located in an exclusive area in Colombo 5. The Drawing Studios, Projects Department, accounts and the Administration Department of Shaminda Senaratne Associates | private | Limited are substantially computerized with modern Computers and peripherals.

Architectural drawings, Bills of quantities, Tender documents and specification, 3D Computer visualizations, drawing coordination are being done in the office and the other specialist work will be outsourced to other consultants.

Electrical, mechanical, plumbing and air conditioning drawings are prepared by in-house draftspersons under the consultant engineers and quantity surveyors supervision.

Structural drawings are prepared by under the supervision of senior charted engineer and the drawings were done at his office
